Application and Fees
St. Peter's Interparish School is the parish school serving St. Dominic's, St. Joseph's, St. Peter's and St. Vincent de Paul Churches on Capitol Hill. Active, registered members of the Interparish churches have first priority regarding acceptance and lower tuition rates.
School visits arranged
on selected Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. - February, March
and April. We would be pleased to provide you an application
at the time of your tour. |
Pastors’ signatures are needed to qualify for the Interparish tuition.
Admission Age Requirements:
Pre-Kindergarten: 4
years old by September 1st of the coming school year
Kindergarten: 5
years old by September 1st of the coming school year
1st Grade: 6 years old
by September 1st of the coming school year
Application for Admission
New in-parish applicants
must submit a competed Application for Admission signed by the pastor of one
of the four participating parishes (St Peter, St Joseph's of Capitol Hill,
St Dominic, St Vincent de Paul) to qualify for the in-parish tuition rate.
For priority placement, in-school students who wish to return for the new school year must submit their application for enrollment by February 16 for beginning of the Fall Semester. First priority is given to children with siblings already in the school, to interparish families, and to Catholic children. All other applications will be processed after February 23.
After an application is submitted, prospective students visit the school. Interviews and assessments are done at that time. Additional documents, such as teacher recommendations, report cards, test scores, and a copy of the Baptismal Certificate for Catholic children are submitted directly to the school at the time of the visit. The Admissions Committee will review all applicants. Admissions decisions are mailed out to the families in early March.

Payment of tuition reserves a child's space for the coming school year.| (fees for aides, books, technology,

Tuition assistance may be available through a variety of sources. Please call your local parish priest or the principal for an appointment to discuss those opportunities. The Archdiocese has its forms available on line. The school's Parent Teacher Organization offers tuition assistance, please contact the office at (202) 544-1618 or email stpeterdc@adwschool.org .
Regular school hours are 8:25 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. — except Wednesdays,
when classes dismiss early at 12:30 p.m. for faculty meetings and professional development.AfterSchool Program is offered each day of the school week from 3:15 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. with flexible enrollment fees. Also read about AfterSchool - its philosophy, activities, policies.
Before School supervision is available 7:30 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. at $1 per day.
