Our parish community is our foundation, and the foundation of four closely related parishes is the strength of St. Peter's Interparish School.   Spiritual and financial support are prayerfully provided by the nearby parishes of St. Peter, St. Dominic, St. Joseph's On Capitol Hill and St. Vincent de Paul

Located within blocks of the Library of Congress, St. Peter's Interparish School utilizes a wealth of hands-on learning possibilities as well as classic literature at the Folger Shakespeare Library, a universe of discovery at the Smithsonian museums, the sight and scents of the U.S. Botanic Gardens, as well as history and government in the making at the U.S. Capitol.

Students at every grade level participate in service projects.  Kindergartners gather canned goods for a community food drive, while fourth graders may find their talents in a bake sale for the children of Afghanistan.  The student council organizes school-wide service projects, and helps to support a 15-hour annual service requirement for Middle School students.

Parents provide essential service to St. Peter's and the parish community —  planning for future needs, fundraising through the annual school auction, volunteering to work with teachers in the classroom and as escorts on field trips.  Participating in a choice of opportunities, parents find a wide range of possibilities for meeting the annual 20-hour school service requirement.
