Supporting St. Peter's
Scrip - Shop and Earn
Scrip is an ongoing fundraising program for the school and has generated significant funding. It was the major contributor to the purchase of the new playground equipment. The school purchases gift cards from major retailers and grocery stores at a discount and then sells them to parents and friends at face value.
Scrip is sold each morning on the lower playground from 8:15 to 8:45 and can be ordered through "backpack express." Download the order form .

Scrip can be used at dozens of retailers, including Giant, Safeway, Shoppers Food Warehouse, Nordstrom's, Macy's, Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble bookstores, Home Depot, Sears, Blockbuster Video, and many more. There are more than 50 retailers and restaurants to choose from.
Here’s how it works: if you’ll be grocery shopping this week, write a check to St. Peter’s PTO — purchase any combination of card value you need. You purchase your groceries with this card and it works just like a debit card. St. Peter’s school receives a profit of three, four or five percent from the various grocers; some stores pay eight percent or up to 12% back to the school from scrip orders. You pay nothing more than you would otherwise; the store you buy from contributes to St. Peter's school a percentage of your purchase (look on the form to see the profit for St. Peter's school).
